Chemical Peel Pre & Post Care

OUR GOAL WITH CHEMICAL PEEL TREATMENTS IS TO SHED OFF SUPERFICIAL LAYERS OF SKIN, PULLING SPECIFIC SKIN CONDITIONS OUT SUCH AS SCNE AND HYPERPIGMENTATION, AND IMPROVING SKIN TEXTURE

• 2 weeks before treatment, avoid excessive sun exposure (tans/burns/tanning beds/spray tans)
• 1 week before treatment, discontinue products with Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, and/or Alpha Hydroxy Acids.
• Avoid bleaching, waxing, or using depilatory creams in the treatment area

• No active ingredients will be used in your skin care routine for 7 days post-treatment. This includes ingredients suck as vitamin C, retinol, hydroquinone, and exfoliating acids (such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid, etc.) unless otherwise stated by your provider. 
• Skincare for 7 days post-treatment should consist of a gentle cleanser, gentle moisturizer, and SPF during the day with a protection of 30 or higher.
• Avoid vigorous exercise or activities resulting in sweating for 2-3 days post-treatment.
• Avoid large bodies of water such as lakes, beaches, pools, hot tubs, etc. for 2-3 days post-treatment
• Makeup can be applied 24-48 hours post-treatment with freshly cleaned makeup brushes/sponges
• Use freshly laundered pillowcases and towels after treatment
• Do not allow pets near the treated area for 2-3 days post-treatment
• Do not pick a the skin while it is healing or shedding
• Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks post-procedure - NO TANNING BEDS.
• Redness, peeling, purging, and itching are all symptoms to be expected after treatment

• You may resume your skincare routine on day 8 after treatment
• Your provider will determine the appropriate timing for the next treatment during your 2-week follow-up appointment
